What you will experience
Leaving home—whether 12 years ago or 12 months ago—rewrites our personal stories in ways we rarely get to express. Join me, Namita, for an intimate evening dedicated to unfolding those hidden chapters. Over a steaming cup of garam chai, a heartwarming coffee, or a cozy glass of wine, we’ll gather to share, listen, and connect through the real stories that shape us. What We’ll Do Together 1. Settle In & Sip Something Comforting (15 mins) As you arrive, grab your favorite drink—whether that’s a steaming cup of garam chai, a rich coffee, or a cozy glass of wine—paired with some delicious light snacks. We’ll take a few minutes to introduce ourselves, shake off the day, and get comfortable together. 2. Setting the Stage & Opening the Circle (8 mins) I’ll share a brief introduction to set the tone and walk us through the heartbeat of our evening. We'll touch on the themes of the evening that unite so many of us living away from home: Love & Connection Across Distances: Finding chosen family in new cities, nurturing long-distance bonds, and building a sense of home wherever you land. Loss & Nostalgia: A safe space to hold the quiet grief of missing life back home, absent seats at family tables, outgrowing old versions of ourselves, or processing personal losses and the journey toward healing while living abroad. 3. Unfolding Our Stories (7-8 mins per guest) The floor is yours. Every guest will have a dedicated, unhurried space to share a story—a memory, a turning point, or a reflection on love, loss, and resilience away from home. 4. Shared Reflection & Empathy (15 mins) Once everyone has spoken, we’ll open up the floor to reflect as a group—sharing gentle observations, words of comfort, shared experiences, and heartfelt empathy. 5. Host Closing (8 mins) I’ll tie together the threads of our conversation and share a few final thoughts on how sharing our hidden chapters helps us heal and move forward. 6. Mingle, Socialize & Connect (15 mins) We’ll wrap up with informal, casual chat—giving you time to dive deeper with fellow guests, exchange contact info, or simply relax. 7. A Fond Farewell Before you leave, I’ll see you off with a small souvenir to take home as a token of our shared evening. Accessibility & comfort: If you have accessibility needs, mobility considerations, or require any adjustments to seating, lighting, or materials, please let me know in advance so I can welcome you comfortably.

Born and raised in Delhi, India, I moved to the UK 12 years ago. Since then, I’ve explored many cities across the UK, but I frequently return to my first love—"Meri Dilli". Along the way, I’ve met countless kind and beautiful souls, and my favorite way to connect with anyone has always been over a great story. To me, stories are more than just words—they become cherished memories, help us heal, foster deep friendships, broaden our perspectives, and often answer our quietest inner doubts when shared openly. My other great loves are chai, coffee, and wine. People often ask me to pick just one, but my mood and the ever-changing UK weather mean there’s always a perfect time for each! Whether it’s a garam chai ka pyaala (steaming cup of tea), a comforting coffee, a cozy glass of red, or a pop of fizz, there is room for all of them at my table. If you love sharing stories—stories of love, loss, friendship, success, failure, or anything under the sun—and enjoy a warm drink or a fine glass of wine, you’ll feel right at home here. Join me for "Ek shaam chai aur kahaniyo ke naam"—an evening dedicated to good drinks, great company, and unforgettable stories.
