Kulturely Host Policy
This policy applies to individual and business hosts and supplements the Marketplace Terms. Hosts are independent suppliers of their experiences, not employees, workers, agents or partners of KULTURELY LTD.
1. Eligibility and verification
Hosts must be 18 or over and provide accurate identity, contact and business information. A withdrawal account is only needed when a host is ready to receive earnings. Before an experience can offer instant bookings, the host must complete the required profile, email, phone, policy, review and availability checks. Kulturely may request additional checks where the risk calls for them. A public trust badge may be removed when the underlying checks no longer apply.
2. Accurate, inclusive cultural experiences
Listings must describe a real, interactive cultural experience the host can lawfully deliver. Hosts must accurately state price, duration, capacity, cultural origin, languages, accessibility, inclusions, exclusions, allergens, skill or fitness requirements, age suitability, location disclosure and cancellation terms. Cultural claims must be authentic, respectful and not exploit, stereotype or mock a community.
Kulturely welcomes cultural experiences shaped by many communities. Availability is limited to the markets Kulturely has formally enabled, but culture, heritage, language and community are never eligibility boundaries. Participation and guest access must not be unlawfully discriminatory. Reasonable safety or suitability restrictions must be objectively justified and clearly stated.
3. Safety, licences and insurance
Hosts are responsible for a documented risk assessment and for all licences, permissions, registrations, qualifications and insurance reasonably required for the activity and venue. This includes, where applicable, food hygiene and allergen controls, alcohol licensing, music or performance rights, transport rules, venue consent, public liability cover and safeguarding.
Do not host in an unsafe place, exceed lawful capacity, conceal a material hazard, or proceed when conditions make delivery unsafe. Children may participate only where the listing permits it and a responsible adult attends; hosts must not offer unsupervised childcare through Kulturely. Emergencies must be handled through emergency services first and reported to Kulturely promptly.
4. Location and privacy
Provide a real city, postcode, service address or meeting point and verify the map position. Public pages show only the approved approximate label. Exact private addresses are disclosed only to confirmed participants at the appropriate time. Hosts must protect guest data and use it only to deliver and support the booking.
5. Media and content rights
Only upload content you own or are authorised to use. Obtain releases from identifiable people and permissions for protected music, artwork, venues or brands. When submitting or updating a listing, the host is responsible for ensuring descriptions are accurate, media rights are held, location privacy is correct and future availability is genuine. Kulturely administrators cannot make those decisions for a host.
An imported listing may become bookable only after its host has made the declarations above and reconfirmed a real date, time and capacity. Kulturely does not offer uncharged guest requests or host-approval bookings: every guest-facing paid experience uses immediate payment and is confirmed only after payment succeeds.
6. Booking, fees and payout
All Kulturely-originated bookings and payments must remain on Kulturely. Soliciting off-platform payment, placing external payment links in content or messages, or using guest details to bypass Kulturely is prohibited.
Kulturely deducts 10% host commission from the experience subtotal. Payment costs, refunds, chargebacks and other properly due amounts are shown clearly in the host’s earnings record. Earnings normally become eligible seven days after the experience. Any positive eligible balance is included in the next weekly automatic payout once Stripe withdrawals are connected. Refunds, disputes, chargebacks and lawful holds may delay eligibility.
Hosts must keep availability accurate, update or unpublish an experience promptly when they cannot host it, arrive on time and deliver the listing with reasonable care and skill. Host cancellation or no-show requires a complete guest refund; actual provider costs may be debited from the host balance or future earnings.
7. Tax and reporting
Hosts are responsible for their own tax, VAT, licences and records. Kulturely may collect and verify seller details and report identity and transaction information to HMRC or another competent authority under digital-platform reporting rules. Hosts must promptly correct inaccurate reporting information.
8. Ranking, promotion and moderation
Ranking may consider relevance, location, availability, safety, quality, completeness, reliability and guest feedback. Labelled Boosts can add a bounded lift only after eligibility and quality gates; they never bypass those checks or create a permanent top position. Additional seven-day Boosts cost £4.99 and included Boost credits are limited by the selected plan. Social promotion may share an approved eligible listing through Kulturely channels, but never changes marketplace ranking.
Kulturely manually reviews first listings and material changes. We may request changes, pause bookings, delist or suspend for safety, illegality, fraud, repeated cancellation, misleading content, poor delivery, policy breach or payment risk. Except where immediate action is reasonably required, business hosts receive reasons and an opportunity to respond or appeal. Submit a complaint or appeal to [email protected] with the listing or decision reference.
9. Community, messages and incidents
Treat guests and communities respectfully. Hate, harassment, sexual exploitation, violence, prohibited adult content, illegal activity and retaliation are forbidden. Messages may be screened for safety and payment circumvention. Report incidents honestly and preserve relevant evidence; do not publish sensitive allegations or personal data as retaliation.
Hosts must use the in-product reporting route or [email protected] to report suspected illegal content or conduct, threats, exploitation, child-safety concerns, fraud or serious policy breaches. In an immediate danger call 999 first. Do not investigate suspected child sexual exploitation or abuse yourself, download or redistribute suspected illegal material, or notify a suspected offender; preserve only information lawfully available to you and follow Kulturely's safety instructions.
10. Acceptance and updates
Only the current published Host Policy can be accepted. Significant changes may require fresh acceptance before an experience can offer instant bookings. Policy acceptance does not transfer the host’s legal responsibility for the supplied experience to Kulturely.
