Stories & Heritage walk: Explore Southampton
An engaging walk around the city of Southampton, renown for its connection with great ships like Titanic and Mayflower
What you will experience
We will meet at the Bargate, a central location in the city and key monument of Southampton. We will then embark in a walk of around 90 minutes, all accessible, that will take us through different monuments, streets and memories of the city of Southampton; a town that has endured much and that is recovering from its wounds and trauma. You will discover in this process what makes this city tick: its history, its heritage, proud moments and no so proud ones. We will have intimate talks about the value of culture, what role it has in our societies, what we can do to make things better. And of course, we will spot some of the best places to eat in town.
